Need a 10-port USB-C charger? Plugable has just the thing

Plugable, a company known for premium docking stations and dongles, has chosen CES 2025 to unveil three new products, designed to enhance the desktop experience.

First up is the Plugable USB-C Five-Display Docking Station (UD-7400PD), which, as the name suggests, can support up to five displays, including four 4K and one 8K screen, thanks to the DisplayLink DL-7400 chipset. It can also push out 140W Power Delivery via a USB-C port.

The dock has two HDMI ports and three DisplayLink-enabled USB-C ports, capable of driving up to four screens at up to 4K at 120Hz, and one screen at up to 8K on compatible monitors.

It also has some innovative and useful features, such as an intelligent splash screen that is displayed when the dock is powered on but not connected to a computer. This provides real-time status and asset information, as well as a QR code that goes to a webpage with set up resources. 

The UD-7400PD also has a front-facing 10Gpbs USB-C port with 30W charging, two front-facing 10Gbps USB-A ports, Ethernet, and audio jacks.

Next up is the Plugable PS-10CC, the first-of-its-kind 10-port USB-C charger equipped with intelligent power allocation and priority-based charging. This charger delivers up to 100W of total power output.

The priority-based charging is particularly innovative in that the priority is set based on the port the device is plugged into — ports increase in priority from right to left.

Who needs ten USB-C ports? Well, everyone from those managing areas with multiple devices such as classrooms and offices, families setting up a charging station, or tech enthusiasts trying to tame their smart workspace.

Finally, there’s the Plugable USB-C Quad HDMI Graphics Adapter, which is a small, palm-sized hub that can drive four 4K 60Hz HDMI outputs from a single USB-C port. Along with the four HDMI ports you also get up to 100W USB-C PD pass-through charging, which means that users can be powering their laptop while driving the four displays.
