Jbl’s Vibe 2 Budget Earbuds Come In Three Shapes

JBL has announced its second generation of Vibe series earbuds, including the Vibe Buds 2, Vibe Beam 2, and Vibe Flex 2. All three have improvements over the previous versions, such as longer battery life, better call quality, and increased water resistance.

The Vibe series is designed to deliver powerful bass without breaking the bank. The JBL Vibe Buds 2 are standard earbuds with a comfortable fit and no stem at the bottom. They have 8mm drivers and active noise cancelation for an immersive listening experience. With an IP54 rating, they resist water and dust, making them good for workouts and outdoor use. They last 40 hours, with 10 hours on a single charge plus an extra 30 hours from the charging case. There’s also a quick charge feature that gives you 3 hours of playback after just 10 minutes of charging.

The JBL Vibe Beam 2 features a close-stick design for a snug and comfortable fit. Like the Vibe Buds 2, they also use 8mm drivers and have active noise cancelation. They share the same IP54 water and dust resistance, 40-hour total battery life, and quick charging ability.

The JBL Vibe Flex 2 has an open-ear design, making buyers more aware of their surroundings. These earbuds have larger 12mm drivers, and while they don’t have active noise cancellation, they focus on comfort and a natural listening experience. They also have an IP54 rating and the same 40 hours of playback time as the other models, along with the quick charge feature.

None of them really stand out from each other in functionality. You can choose between the noise-canceling Vibe Buds 2 and Vibe Beam 2 or the open-ear Vibe Flex 2 for a more natural listening experience. Either way, the quality is really the same, and buying it really should depend on what style and fit you’re going for.

All three models use Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity and come with four microphones for better voice call quality. They are available in black, white, pink, and blue. The Vibe 2 series is very budget-friendly and is set to launch in March 2025, with the Vibe Buds 2 and Vibe Beam 2 priced at $59.95 each, and the Vibe Flex 2 at $69.95.
