Over in Las Vegas, CES 2025 is in full swing with brands announcing all sorts of fancy new tech. And while there’s a little bit of everything at the event, one item that we all already have, only built a bit differently, caught my eye. I’m talking about Anker’s new 140W wall charger brick.

Manufacturers head to the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to showcase all sorts of technology, whether new and cutting-edge stuff, upgraded laptops, microwaves with 27-inch screens, huge TVs that most people can’t afford, and more. However, we’re also seeing smart upgrades to little gadgets people everywhere use daily.

A Wall Charger That Stays Plugged In

While I’d love one of LG’s $60,000 transparent TVs, most people can afford and will benefit from an item like Anker’s new 140W 4-port USB wall charger. This isn’t your average wall charging brick like the one that used to come in the box with a new iPhone or Samsung Galaxy. No, it’s far more than that.

All four powerful USB ports on this Anker wall charger are positioned on the bottom and plug in vertically, which will help lower the center of gravity and prevent the entire brick from pulling out and away from the wall. It’s such a simple change, but one that makes me very happy.

All my larger wall chargers, like the one that came with my MacBook, tend to eventually pull away from the wall, become unplugged, or even fall out entirely. It’s frustrating and even more common when you plug in two or three thick cables simultaneously. With the Anker, that won’t happen, and if you put it on a desk, the cables run neatly along the top of your desk instead of sticking straight up.

While the bottom ports were all I needed to see to know I wanted one, that’s not all it offers. This Anker 140W charger has three USB-C ports, one USB-A port, and a built-in display showing helpful information.

Anker’s new 140W wall charger works with various fast-charging technologies like PD 3.1 and UFCS. The first two USB-C ports offer up to 140 watts, the third port can give 40 watts, and the USB-A port can provide 33 watts. The display will show you if fast charging is on for each port and how much power each port uses. For example, while the entire device supports 140W, each port only offers so much power, and if you have a 100W MacBook charger plugged in, there’s only a combined 40W left for the other three.

This nifty little wall wart charger has a foldable prong for traveling or those always on the go, a helpful display to keep you informed while charging, and bottom-mounted ports so it won’t wiggle away from the wall. It’s a great little gadget, so grab your own for $89 at the link below.
